Travelling on the Palace-on-Wheels is a veritable regal delight…….an unparalleled experience world-wide. Made up of vintage salons that once belonged to the erstwhile Maharajas, a trip on this train is the closest one can get to princely India. This 7 nights & 8 days tour takes you through a memorable experience through Rajasthan.

This luxury train of India which is now fully air-conditioned comprises of 14 deluxe saloons, equipped with class amenities to enhance the pleasure of travelling with channel music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot & cold water, shower and wall to wall carpeting. The lounge car recaptures the royal style, pomp & pageantry, the quality of the bygone era. The two dining cars - the Maharaja and the Maharani have a traditional Rajasthani ambience serving continental Indian and Rajasthani cuisine. And to complement the tourist needs, there is a bar and a library to relax in.

Each saloon has personal attendants or 'Khidmatgars', who are at your call whenever you need anything, these smartly uniformed attendants are always on hand to take care of your needs and you are treated like a Maharaja throughout your stay on the train. Accommodation is available in single, twin and three bedded cabins.

» Please carry your swimming costumes, if you wish to take a dip at the swimming pools at the hotels at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaisalmet.

» Use sunglasses, caps and parasols to protect yourself from the sun and wear comfortable walking shoes.

» Laundry service is availble at Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Jodhpur.

» Alteration in itinerary can be made without prior notice due to unavoidable circumstances.

» If the group consists of over 50, the excursion is divided into two batches.one group follows the normal Order of sightseeing while the other covers it in reverse order.

» Palace on wheels recommends shopping at State Handicraft Emporium only.

» Sufficient number of books and games CDs are available in each saloon lounge, list of these is available in each cabin.

» To keep your valuable a separate safe is available in each Cabin

» First-Aid box is available.

» Dureing visit to National Parks at Ranthambhor/Bharatpur enough woollen clothes are advised.

» Kindly bear with us un unavoidable circumstances.

» Electric supply is 220v in Cabins and 110v in Toilets.


» Guests are requested to follow the request/guidelines of the Tour Manager. Splitting from group is not advisable at all as POW management would not be resposible for any incident.

Special Information:
As per the traditions of Rajasthan, a guest is like a God for us, so please donot hesitate to ask for any assistance/help/information at any time from Saloon Captain, Escort, Manager or Senior Manager (Chief). Senior Manager or Manager on board is available in Cabin '2' of Jaipur Saloon.

CANCELLATION RULES FOR PALACE ON WHEELS TRAIN TOUR:
1. The Palace on Wheels train tour is a joint collaboration between Ministry of Railways & State Govt. of Rajasthan (RTDC) & cancellation rules have been accordingly framed by them, which may change at short notice.
2. Only written request for cancellation will be entertained.
3. If cancellation request is received a more than days before of tour depart – there will be levy of 20% cancellation fee of total tour amount.
4. If booking cancelled between 61 to 90 days before tour depart - Minimum 50% cancellation fee of total tour amount.
5. If booking cancelled <60 days before tour depart – 100% cancellation fee of total tour amount.
6. Booking is non endorsable & any such requests will be governed by cancellation rules.
6. Request for Postponement of journey dates for medical reasons or emergency will only be entertained on deposit of full tour amount & is at sole discretion of RTDC top management.
6. No show/ Self curtailment of journey Or short journey ,for whatsoever reasons, is non refundable.
6. Non receipt of payment will be governed by cancellation rules.
10. In India, it is normal for train tour schedule /program & tariff to change from time to time, at short notice, & request for cancellation of tour for above is governed by cancellation rules.
